Lorentis at SAHA 2026: connecting with Türkiye’s defence and aerospace ecosystem

Our team spent the week of SAHA 2026 in Istanbul meeting platform makers, integrators and international delegations about GNSS-resilient navigation, datalinks and domestic chip design.

SAHA 2026, the International Defence and Aerospace Exhibition organised by SAHA Istanbul, took place from 5 to 9 May 2026 at the Istanbul Expo Center. With more than 1,700 exhibitors from over 120 countries, it has become one of the most important meeting points for the defence, aerospace and unmanned systems industries, and a natural place for Lorentis Electronics to be.

Why we attended SAHA 2026

For a deep-tech company building photonic navigation sensors, FPGA and ASIC designs and UAV communications, SAHA is where our future customers and partners gather in one place. Our goal was simple: listen to what platform manufacturers and system integrators need next, and show how Lorentis can help them get there.

Three themes we heard again and again

  • GNSS-denied navigation. Jamming and spoofing are now everyday operational realities, and navigation that does not depend on satellites is moving from “nice to have” to a requirement.
  • Counter-drone and electronic warfare. Layered detection, identification and defeat of small drones was one of the busiest topics of the week.
  • Local design and production. Buyers increasingly ask where a component is designed and who controls the technology, a strong argument for domestic chip and electronics design.
SAHA confirmed something we believe deeply: the next generation of defence systems will be decided by who controls the sensors and the silicon inside them. That is exactly where Lorentis is building.Mustafa Kaykısız, CEO & Co-founder, Lorentis Electronics

What comes next

We are following up on the conversations started at SAHA 2026 with platform manufacturers and integrators, with a focus on our silicon photonic gyroscope, our video and datalink module and our FPGA, ASIC and avionics design services.
