Description

A reconfigurable 2-D convolution/FIR filter engine for real-time video and image-processing pipelines, with kernels and coefficients programmable at runtime. Filter kernel size, coefficients, and pipeline topology can be updated through a control interface without rebuilding the FPGA bitstream. Supports common kernels (Sobel, Gaussian, Laplacian, Bayer demosaic, sharpening, denoising) as well as custom coefficient sets, with line-buffer management and configurable pixel formats. Throughput scales with parallel processing lanes.

Target applications: ISR/EO-IR pipelines, drone vision and target tracking, edge-AI preprocessing, surveillance cameras, machine-vision inspection.
